Green shoots? The state of marketing recruitment
The half way point in the year has seen many companies looking again at recruitment plans. For those filling roles, and those seeking, the outlook is mixed.
It feels like job-seeking marketers have been waiting for the tide to turn all year when it comes to recruitment. Hope there may be a spike in available roles comes and goes, but, as we approach the mid-point of 2023, there may be cause for optimism.
IPA Bellwether data gathered exclusively for Marketing Week in April highlighted that a net balance of 16.7% of companies expected to increase employment levels in the three months following. These figures represented the first quarter of 2023 and were an increase from a net balance of 13.6% in the previous quarter.
Rowan Fisk, partner at recruitment firm 3Search, believes the tide is turning. In a recent LinkedIn post, he suggested the landscape is “hotting up” this June.
