For NatWest Group’s B2B banking brand Mettle, the Covid-19 pandemic proved an incredible growth driver. Founded in 2018 with the mission to become the top business banking app for “micro businesses”, the flood of entrepreneurs setting up side hustles and small businesses during the pandemic led to a fivefold increase in customers over 2021, reaching 50,000 in total.
